SkinCare Application 101

When applying skincare products, it can sometimes be overwhelming to remember what goes where and when! I always stick to the rule- apply your products thinnest to thickest!

In the mornings - after washing your face, you want to apply any serums you may use- this can include your antioxidant, pigment inhibitor and hyaluronic acid. After, apply an eye cream, followed by moisturizer and lastly, SPF!

In the evenings - remove make up (duh!), double cleanse skin, apply any serums you may use, followed by your topical retinol and topped off with a rich moisturizer.

The reasoning behind this method is that serums have thinner molecule sizes, so they can better penetrate into the skin. Creams, such as moisturizer and SPF,  have larger molecules, so they can block the penetration of a serum if applied first!
